Just to clarify, the reason you specify a major on the application for admission is two-fold: 1) they want to hear your plans and goals and make sure you’ve given some thought to your college career; and 2) they want to make sure you apply to the college that offers that major! 2nd one very important! Also, It’s possible, once admitted, that you decide you do NOT want to do computer science, but physics or chemistry or engineering, and that’s ok. You aren’t bound to the CS major just because you specified it on the application.
