Dinner does start early, at 5:00, and yes, it will be done at 6:30, because they have more planned events on the schedule for the students, going almost until midnight! Dinner is not mandatory for parents - some go, some don’t. If they don’t, the kids usually eat with their “orientation group” they’re assigned to. It’s all very flexible, and the parents can pick and choose what they want to do. Having just come back, here’s a couple of suggestions - students are outside a good part of both days, if it’s sunny and hot, bring
sunscreen. 1st day, they have continental breakfast - fruit, bagels, muffins, juice, coffee, if you don’t get time to eat a big breakfast. Remind your kid to sign the FERPA form, which gives the school permission to contact you for any reason regarding grades, sickness, any problems. If they don’t sign, they will not contact you in any situation, i.e. your kid goes to the hospital. Good luck!!!
