Loans serviced by Sallie Mae, any Problems?

Okay, this is the deal. I applied for a sallie mae student loan i was approved for it in May. My school valodated me for the upcoming fall semester. Then today i get an automated email from Sallie Mae saying that my loan has been cancelled with no explanation. Can they do that? Why wasn’t i notified that it would be cancelled. If this is not taken care of by August 4th i cannot attend school. I NEED MY MONEY please help me!!!

Was this a private loan or federal? Maybe it was an error…they must have an 800 to call to find out.
I’ve had things happen like that (not with student loans) and it usually was an error or mistaken email.
I hope it is in your case, if they approved you and everything was fine, nothing changed or mistakes in your application, it should be okay.

That’s odd, we pay as many times a month as we want and I have changed payments later on in the day (before they were processed) to another date at least once. We can also can pay more than once a month. I know there is a choice when the loans are due, to have an automatic payment and add more another time, but the authomatic debit has to be for the amount due. My nephew would have his payment come out on the 1st and add a little bit 2 weeks later when he got paid again. It did help to whittle it down over time.
I haven’t had any trouble with calling, but I have had trouble with ANY loan site, leaving emails.
