LOA's are coming out

The LOA says that you are GUARANTEED AN APPOINTMENT as long as you complete your application (nomination, fitness test, medical exam, etc.). Usually the LOA is given when everything is complete. Often, the only thing missing is the nomination. This way, the academy can let candidates know that they are good to go and all they need to do is have their representative nominate them. Nominations are usually decided in Decemberish.

I have just received my CVW. About what time will my LOA come if I am getting one? I have 4.18 GPA, take challanging classes, scored really well on the interview(BGO was really positive), physically and medically qualified(except the glasses), 660V, 700M, played 1 yr Varsity XC(most improved, 3rd fastest man), 2 yr varsity wrestling(11, hopefully 12), 2 yrs of varsity track ( 11 and hopefully 12), 1 yr of varsity football. Sea cadet since i was a freshman. Went to SEALs training at Little Creek, VA for sea cadets, hardest training it has to offer. I was also Assistant boat crew leader at the training, I am also a petty officer second class in Sea cadets, open scuba diving license, club president of a club that helps special ed kids, shows great interest in the military(applying to usna, usma, usafa, and mrotc), finished with my application except nomination. Can someone assess my chance? Also i heard the admission board in the beginning of each month, About what time will my Loa come If i’m getting one?
Respectfully,

you obviously have good chances if you do well on your cfa and get a waiver for the glasses.

“Once you accept to one academy, you can’t back out if another academy offer comes in after the fact, so keep that in mind.”

I have never heard of this… in fact I know someone who accepted one SA and then ultimately chose another that they were wait-listed at and offered an appointment at a later date.

By receiving a CVW invitation this early in the process (received mine yesterday), is that a good indication of your competitiveness, or are these automatically sent to every candidate applying? Also would it still be a good idea to go if I already went to USNASS for a week?

I’m in the same posistiona s you tn48th. About how many CVW’s go out every year?
