food is awes, TONS of vegetarians and vegans, and the rural location is a big reason why there is the dartmouth “culture”.

i was worried about the ruralness, since i’m from LA, and even though there are times that you long to see your friends, i don’t think i ever really wanted to leave where i was. dartmouth is an amazing place and seeing the sun set over the peak of the mountains when i get out of the library, or when i jump into the connecticut river, or when i ride a bike to the nh-vermont bridge, or when i’m stressed and take a deep breath of the clean, fresh air or when it’s midnight and i look up and see all the stars…i’m always a little bit sad because i know i only have a few more years before i have to move to a city.

in my view, the city will ALWAYS be there. most people who are considering schools like dartmouth will move to a city and get a job there when they graduate. and they’ll spend most of their lives in or around a large metropolitan area…until they retire. so this is my last deep breath before moving into adulthood.

but hey thats just me.
