I just got an email back, and like you said, they would fly me to the facility for the interview IF I WAS CHOSEN. (I just sent in my resume, transcript).

What does it mean if I am chosen for an interview? Why would they set up me with these questionnaires if they won’t guarantee the position? Kind of weird to get an email back writing “Sorry, you were not selected for an on-site interview” [but we sent you an email earlier that you might be qualified … ]

I’m kind of stressed about the interview too, if I get it. I hope that since it’s an internship interview, the questions would be a bit toned down, and that it would be more loose than the full-time job interview that I have on my mind …

That’s quite common actually. Many companies don’t want to waste time interviewing every applicant, so they screen out applicants in a few rounds. First, they’ll look at your resume, and pick a handful of those. Then they may send out a questionnaire (in your case), a prescreening phone interview, or an on-campus interview. If you get past this, then they’ll interview you on-site. All they’re trying to do is to save time and money while finding the most qualified applicant.

Oh I see. Thanks … I guess my chances are probably less than 5% since probably a handful of people got the same email for the same position, and they’re probably choosing one only … and I’m still young so that’s kind of a disadvantages on behalf of experience/skills.
