Look back at how a 3.5 UW GPA got accepted to top 20 institutions (No Hooks)

@merc81
Hi there! Actually I have to admit one of my mistakes, I did screw up on Dartmouth I was supposed to write that (wait-listed - ultimately rejected) but i did put that part there to show that I was really close to getting accepted as I assume wait-list people were close to being accepted.

As for, Northwestern that part still holds to be true. Orginally, I decided to go to Emory because I went as a pre-med science major. However, (unsurprisingly) I found new interests and quite honestly Emory didn’t have the major intended (Emory doesn’t have a statistics program, although we do have an Applied Mathematics & Statistics that is something different from what I wanted to study). Perhaps I should’ve chosen Northwestern at first but Emory offered me a lot of money through merit scholarship which seemed to be the best situation at the time. Now, I realize that I may have possibly made a mistake. But who knows, the grass is always greener on the other side. And now reading transfer threads, I realize how much harder it is to transfer in than freshman acceptance (which totally blows!).

If you don’t believe me even after this then its fine. But quite honestly I don’t have any incentive to lie, aside from trying to impress(?) anonymously but hey, if you live around Atlanta and need to confirm my story to be true I would happily meet up with you at Emory. Or if there are any questions that only Emory students can answer that you want to ask, feel free (although I’m only a freshman so I don’t know everything!).
