Looking for an excell spreadsheet of colleges

<p>If you are like most of us out here, you will “roll your own”. There are thousands of colleges, no one has a spreadsheet that includes all the data. You will probably spend a lot of hours researching what is important to you about colleges and tracking it. If you want a template (what columns do people put in their spreadsheets as they start tracking), we have had threads on that. Here is one:</p>

<p>Sources of data we used a lot:

  • Websites for individual colleges
  • Fiske Guide to Colleges (great help in getting an overview of colleges and identifying colleges to look into further)
  • College Confidential :smiley:
  • I usually pull most recent SAT ranges by Googling “<college name=”“> SAT Range” and looking at the about.com listings. I find them to be an easy format to quickly look at.<br>
  • The Common Data Set at each college, available for most on their websites. Easiest to find by Googling “<college name=”“> Common Data Set”.</college></college></p>
