I can tell that OP really would like to do a navy wall. So I looked on Pinterest to see if I could find a “beachy” or bright navy color that looks not so dark. I think if you have lots of light this could look nice…what do you think OP???

@Hoggirl , I did not like Sea Glass when I was looking at paint samples. Color specialist friend suggested trying in my bath, and with the lighting…it’s way more blue/gray than green! I have some blue towels and would no way say it even hints of green. YMMV.
I agree with others—get some samples and paint in your light.
@abasket…love the navy in your link…
One other thing I meant to mention (I was on my phone and I hate typing on that thing), is that your lighting really makes a difference in how you see color. I’ve been slowly switching over to all LED lighting as it improves in quality. Lately it’s gotten REALLY good-there are some Edison LED lights at Home Depot now that are indistinguishable to my eye from the real thing.
HD also has a brand called Cree that has some of the cleanest, brightest, most attractive LED’s I’ve ever seen. No flicker, no sodium-vapor orange or yellow tinge, good stuff.
So I’d get your lighting in place BEFORE you do paint samples-and remember, fluorescent lights not only make everyhing (and everyone) look like crap, they’re bad for the environment and destroy serotonin in your brain…
This might be a bit too busy, but I like a little seaglass border: http://www.janetjackson-tour.com/images/3.bp.blogspot.com/_Qu8HPSUzdjs/TTmo2X9lX4I/AAAAAAAAABs/Fx4lP-RhzM4/s1600/DSC06884.JPG

But I do see you are thinking maybe not aqua…
@abasket - I LOVE BM Hale Navy! I have that color in some of my Houzz saves as well. Love how that accent was used on various walls throughout that home.
@MotherOfDragons - excellent point about lighting! Lighting is definitely a challenge in this condo!! The perimeter walls and ceiling are all concrete! Great for insurance, but not for overhead lighting. Overhead lighting requires a wire/chain! I may put up bead boarding to conceal that. Although the cord to the ceiling fan in the living area is covered by some simple strip of something thst is painted the same as the ceiling. The kitchen fixture has a swoopy chain! No thanks! Can lighting is not possible without dropping the ceiling which is only 8 ft, so that’s a no-go. There is good natural light in the mornings in the living area/master, but not in the afternoons.
@mathmom - I do like the look of that backsplash. But, it is a bit more aqua than I would like. The long skinny glass is great though.
