Totally agree (I was appropriately discouraged - although I could certainly read the writing on the wall… and my transcript 
). Some schools are a little more subtle, and note that they might counsel someone to take some extra time to strengthen their app/find a post-bacc program. I guess I’d lean towards knowing that I need a Plan B as a soph/jr than at the end of an unsuccessful app season, but that’s still up to the applicant.
