I second the Trinity University (San Antonio) suggestion, and the application for their full-tuition scholarship is actually pretty simple. They give out tiers of merit in the EA round, and if you make the top one (it’s called the Murchison), you’re invited to their competition day in San Antonio, where you compete with ~300 students for ~15 scholarships. I think you’d be competitive for the top award. At the competition, you have to write an essay to apply for the scholarship after taking a class taught by a Trinity professor. The decisions are solely based on the essays. It’s pretty cool, and the application is free if I remember right.
