With respect to the study of Chinese, this site may help you indentify some of the stronger programs, especially those of LACs, which can be challenging to evaluate:

You can apply just for Oxford then add other universities later. But you only write one personal statement and have one reference. Those canât be changed after the initial submission and arenât specific to the university(ies) applied to.
So you need the reference when you make the first application. If your senior year teacher is willing to write it before October then thatâs fine.
Looking ahead a bit, would you like to study abroad in China as a college student?
I was considering the idea with nyush, but I definitely want to do an exchange somewhere.

I understand, I will ask them, but I havenât had them as an actual teacher before, so it may be difficult for them to write in that capacity.
As something on the horizon to consider, Hamilton will be building a computer science facility with âbest-in-class technologies and resources.â Itâs scheduled to be completed by the second semester of your sophomore year.
