Loomis or NMH

It’s all relative. My kids are “int’l” students. Just getting to their schools from our home takes 30 hours, so 45 min is nothing for a great veal piccata.

Thank you, GMT, I’ll definitely visit both places, probably next school year.

When I visit for long weekends, we go to Boston or NY. Head East 2 hours or South 3 hours.
Although we are “domestic,” out in the west, road trips for us mean driving 500 miles till next point of interest so they are all “in the area.” (VT/NH/MA/CT/NY)

Nat Hayden’s is really really good.

There used to be a great Italian place named “Patsy’s” is West Springfield, but I think that is now closed.

This year, our long weekends were spent in Portland, ME (Fall) and Keene, NH (Winter). Trying to visit some of the other spots in the area.

My son is a junior at Loomis. It is extremely academically rigorous and while the staff are supportive I would hesitate to go there if I had a learning difficulty. I am amazed at the rigor, volume and intensity of the school work. Yes, there is help available but even top students are extremely busy and at times overwhelmed. It is a great school for a motivated student who wants to work hard, but for anyone who struggles with learning it would be very challenging. My older son has thrived but I would not consider sending my very smart younger son, who struggles with ADD and organization, there.
