<p>Depending on your major there are some random scholarships you don’t apply for, but just receive. I know business majors who were granted $7500 after they were accepted in the mail. Also, I know someone in Engineering who was emailed after his first semester telling his he won some $3000 scholarship even though he did not apply for it. So if you do have very good grades sometimes they just give you scholarships. </p>
<p>Also, there are definitely merit based Engineering scholarships, I believe the application opens soon. You should be able to find more on the vt website.</p>
