Sorry–just realized I signed the letter “The Class of 2015,” when it’s really “The Class of 2014”. But you get the idea.

And guys, feel free to use me as a resource for any questions you may have as either a rejected or an admitted student! I’m here (and happy) to help.

i read this a few hours ago, likewise touched, amazed and inspired, but will be reading this once more right before opening the decisions. anybody with me on this?

This post is great, and it is something along the lines of what two of my three mentors (the two that went to Harvard), have been stressing to me for the past months. I just feel in my gut that Harvard is the right place for me, however, I will never base my life about getting admitted to one school.

This is exactly what I was came here to post.

Last year, I was in your shoes, C2015. Enjoy all of your successes and ignore any misshapes. It is an incredibly exciting period where you get to fantasize about the schools that accepted you without any thought of the future schoolwork.

For those of you who are accepted into the Harvard Class of 2015, I hope to see you at Prefrosh weekend and Yardfest!

You do realize, gifted writer, that your gracious, humble and wise essay just makes parents and students alike hope all the more fervently for acceptance to Harvard – if for no other reason, than to be surrounded by peers of gentleness and intellect, such as yourself.

ohsowise you are an excellent writer.
I bet your admission assay to Harvard was extraordinary.
You also have great insight and more importantly you are compassionate, and have great perspective in life.
I am a parent (using my firs kids CC account) and I am sure you will have great success in life.
Best wishes

ohsowise - I agree with everyone else -your post is one that should not soon be forgotten and is meant to be shared. I would love for you to introduce yourself so that you can get the full recognition you deserve and your post should be printed in the Crimson. It is beautifully written and so on point. My DD is H class of 2012 and we are anxiously awaiting news for our DS. My DD feels the same way as you do and also waited until the end to make her final decision. Thank you for putting so eloquently what many of us parents have been trying to convey to our very anxious kids. Great job!

I hope you don’t mind…I posted a link to this on another school’s thread… very well done. Thank you for sharing your insight—I hope lots of others take to heart what you have said.

BlessedMom and JMMom32–I’m living in Weld this year (on the Yard), and I’ll be in Eliot next year. If the Crimson truly wants to publish this, I’d be happy to reveal my identity, but I’m not sure what good that it would do for me to tell everyone my name at the moment, haha. If you can come up with a convincing enough argument, please share, but until then I think I’d rather remain anonymous! :)

Thank you everyone–I’m truly flattered, and so glad that what I wrote may have helped, even in a small way! I hope that you all hear great news this evening, but if you don’t, please remember and take seriously what I wrote.
