Low cost Northeast Accounting schools for 3.7 uw

Agree that Rider has a fine b-school to consider if seeking merit aid. But Rider’s debt has a non-investment grade (junk) bond rating and it seems that auditors have noted a going concern issue. Just saying that if the OP is interested in Rider they should research the college’s current financial position.

Yes, I agree. It’s not a pretty picture. But I find it refreshing that the new Rider president is much more open about what’s going on than his predecessor ever was. I hope they can right the ship over the next few years.

Sorry to see this.

D26 actively getting back notifications/packages on EA applications now and UMaine came in at $40K ($12K merit) for similar stats. Not to say they won’t “match state flagships” for certain programs.

Susquehanna as someone mentioned above gives a very large amount of merit (we got a $44K award) but it drops current net price down to $35K/year and while that tuition is likely to go up by 3-5%/year, the merit doesn’t. Keep that in mind.

Eastern Connecticut is coming in mid-$20’s. Plymouth State low $20’s. Still waiting on the SUNY’s.

Wow that is really different than my son’s University of Maine merit with similar GPA. I wonder how much major factors in or they’ve just become so much less generous in 4 years. My son was under $15K, with almost $30K in merit for engineering. But this was for 2021 HS graduation, guess just shows how much can change. Or maybe it’s test scores, he did have a strong SAT.

D26 didn’t submit test scores (most don’t in looking at the CDS) and is admitted for Elementary Ed. We were hopeful for a higher amount to make it more competitive with some of the other offers. She really likes UMaine.

UMaine seem to be backing off their previous flagship match policy and are now giving scholarships in varying amounts to students from those states which were previously guaranteed the tuition match. Still not a bad deal.
