Low-income, first-generation students have — finally — established a beachhead at Ivy League school

Unfortunately its already a two tier system. There are numerous articles on how lower income students feel marginalized at top tier schools.

I don’t deny this is true to some extent (with some exceptions), but it is nothing in comparison to the de facto social segregation between one racial or ethnic group and another at the elites in the NE. (Not a criticism of those schools, just an observation.)
