<p>I’ve heard of people getting into NYU with <3.0 GPA’s before, but typically it’s because they applied to Tisch or one of Steinhardt’s Art or Music programs. You have to have some sort of other outstanding talent to compensate for a GPA that low.</p>
<p>As for having the lowest GPA EVER!!!, I’m applying to Tisch with a 2.7. Clearly, this hurts my chances, but I wouldn’t be the first person to get into Tisch with that sort of average. Sorry for stealing your thunder.</p>
<p>EDIT: I’m sorry, Moricarak. I didn’t mean to seem discouraging. I’m sure that if you actually applied yourself and tried really hard, you could (one day) fail harder than me. But not until you do that. Step it up!</p>
