LSAT Question

I don’t understand how the points work. Why does 2 points make a significant difference in averages. The difference between Harvard and say Cornell is only a few numbers apart. Is it that hard to get that much better on the LSAT? Is it sort of like there are plenty of people that get 780 Verbal SAT but those who get 800 are just that much better?

Pretty much. Once you get to a certain point, one problem=one point. Each question is important. And they say that the cut-off for the T-14 is 167. The difference between 166 and 167 is minuscule, but it makes a huge difference.
