At admitted student day they said they had received 44000 applications so far (this was February 23 eye of the tiger event). Since then they said that it was looking more like 47,000. The average yield is about 27-28%, so for a class size target of roughly 7,000 the implied admission rate is around 55% which is a drop of about 21% vs previous years. I think Bama and LSU are going to be the new “it” schools going forward.
