Mac vs tri!!!

I know nothing about Macalester but can offer the following about Trinity based on your interests.

You are a quick two hour bus/train ride to New York City and Boston which may be of interest to you both for international flights and all the generally amazing aspects of both cities. I don’t think the Twin Cities compare to NYC and Boston as tourist hot spots.

Trinity has an ever-growing international student body and just opened a theme house (dorm/community space) called iHouse (International House). They also have a growing program called Center for Urban and Global Studies which you should check out on the website. Trinity is becoming known for its academic contributions to the study of global cities. Also, Trinity has many study abroad centers in major world cities: Rome, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, and many others. I think Trinity ranks very high in the percentage of students who study abroad.

Hartford, the capitol of Connecticut, offers internships opportunities in many businesses and government agencies and there is an amazingly involved student body that volunteers in Hartford organizations. Trinity tries to be a good neighbor to the poor neighborhood around it.
