Don’t worry, sophomore year will be a fresh start! Greek life can be a great way to make friends! One mistake many people make is rushing the same fraternity as other “acquaintances”. Most chapters attract a certain type of personality so rushing one others are rushing and it may not necessarily be the best fit. I’m a former recruitment chair and IFV Exec member and there’s been so many people I’ve seen rush a particular chapter that his roomates are rushing yet be bidless in the end because he didn’t fit in well. Even if you don’t rush, try and make friends wherever you live. Participating in IM sports or even introducing yourself to classmates can help. I met one of my closest friends in office hours.
