USC strongly encourages its students to pursue double majors and major/minor combinations in widely separated fields of study - so much so that they developed a recognition program [USC Renaissance Scholars](http://www.usc.edu/programs/ugprograms/renaissance/index.shtml) for students who choose to do so.

All of USC’s various schools not only allow cross-registration to double majors and minors, they always have many classes available to USC students who would like to sample their courses even if they are not pursuing a major or minor in that school.
