I’m not asking for your sympathy, sir. Just pointing out that things in your life can change which can lay waste to your previously conceived notions of entitlement.

My other point is that college students aren’t exactly privileged. If you’re pulling a good GPA at a school that isn’t fake, your life is probably worse than that of a prisoner, especially if you work like half do.

If life is that much worse, you can leave. THe prisoner cannot, nor can many people who are independent and have a low income and poor financials. It is a question of options. Families I know who are struggling to get their kids and selves through lives with the basic necessities do not have money for legal amenities, much less illegal ones. College students are truly privileged.

Wow, football. I’m afraid I don’t agree that getting non-crappy grades in college is akin to the life of a prisoner. Maybe college isn’t for you, and you are simply not good at it, but that doesn’t mean it’s a miserable place for anyone who puts in effort. I just find it laughable that studying and working on assignments could possibly be compared to the life of a prisoner (or an economic one, in the case of this thread), though I suppose I understand that some people are not meant for further education or further education isn’t meant for them. And that’s okay. But the fact that you personally aren’t a fan… just means you’re biased about how bad it is.
