Maker's Mark?

If it was a change to the distilling process to reduce the alcohol, probably no one would notice.

But diluting the product by 7% by watering it down would definitely be noticeable.

Try adding an ounce of water to a can of Coke, or to a glass of milk, and see if you can taste the difference.

Don’t remember hearing about a 7% reduction in price, either.

Although it’s moot at this point.

I did receive the Maker’s Mark Ambassadors email about the decision to dilute Maker’s Mar and just received an email about the reversal of this decision.

Delta Air Lines offers Woodford Reserve, Jack Daniels, Jack Daniels Honey, Canadian Club, and two types of scotch on board, the Jack Daniels replacing Maker’s Mark 10-20 years ago. The Woodford Reserve is very popular among those who know that it’s available.

On a semi-related note, Maker’s Mark has a memorable alcohol awareness slogan.

There is a good article in today’s WashPost about the Maker’s Mark dilution:

I didn’t realize Beam Inc. had some of those brands.
