Man this video is awesome!

Cadets here do have a tendency to get cynical, although most of us on this board are not, so the Cadre here might make fun of such a video, since the “Above All”, as cool as it is, does get extremely repetitive. The point gets made, and then it does just drags on.

And in some ways, I agree with eagle. It’s important to keep your sight on the small things too, or else you will not learn enough to handle the big things. As much as my goal of being a fighter pilot does help me keep going sometimes, what really helps me keep going is a desire to let no obstacle stop me from reaching the end of my current situation with “Excellence In All I do”. Currently, that would be getting through to the end of 4-dig year and becoming a 3-dig. That’s my short term goal, and it’s a lot easier to relate what I’m doing now to that then what I might get to do in another 5 years.

If all you ever do is just look forward to what will happen in the future, you will never be satisfied. So, 2012, just concentrate on finishing HS out strong first, then concentrate on getting through Beast, then 4-dig year, etc. Nonetheless, make sure you have a reason you are doing all of this. Have that long-term goal that you want to achieve, and use it to help you excel in and enjoy each stage of the journey. There are not many people who get to experience what you are about to embark on, and there are close to 9 other people who wanted the slot you have just as bad. Enjoy what you have now. Sorry about the long post.
