Until my now 19yo D was old enough, (several years ago) I had never gotten my nails done or a massage. Since then I have had both and love love love them. OK, the polish on my hands degrades rapidly, but my toes last a long time. I don’t care about the winter, but am now willing to get a manipedi 3 times in the warmer weather. Hair is another expensive maintenance item In my Boston suburb, a good haircut can run anywhere from 80 to 100+ plus tip. I cannot afford that every 6-8 weeks.
Minimal aesthetic care here. Probably worth unpacking in another arena, but wanted to stick up my unmanicured hand in case anyone out there can be supported.
This thread inspired me to go get a dip manicure and to try to stop the picking and biting. So- I did that after work. I got a really pale color so it will grow out well and maybe last 3 weeks.
I do just a basic or spa manicure and pedicure and buff my fingernails because I hate when polish starts to chip or grow out. I do paint my toenails, though and get cute designs during sandals and open-toe shoes months.
