I’ll take “Silly TV Songs” for $400…

But seriously, that recent discussion also reminded me of the PDS discussion. I thought it was a hilarious description of how some people behave on here.

When you watch TV, if there is a show that is annoying or you don’t like, do you a) Change the channel, b) Yell at the TV or c) Turn the TV off and find something else to do?

It somewhat reminds me the whole PDS description. People largely participate to share information or gain insight into the vaious Academies. About once a week, I scan the various topics and much like TV, I might enjoy a few of the threads, flip, flip, flip through the ones I have no interest in or perhaps find a few of interest where I might post additional information.

Offering your OPINION in a public forum means that at least some of the replies will be from people who don’t agree with you. Fine with me, that is part of what you sign up for when you participate in a public forum. Seems to me we should all behave like we are guests at someone’s house. In some respects we are, since we are all guests on a public website.

People with all sorts of interests and backgrounds paricipate… fine with me. I don’t really care if you are a 4 star general or if you happen to know someone in your church choir who has a son at an Academy. Seems we can all contribute and share information that will of benefit to everyone.

The only people who ‘lose’ are the ones who suffer from PDS. I think real winners should be interested h.s. students and their parents who use these forums as one resource to help answer the many questions they have.

…now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
