Does anybody know how the curve was?

Does anybody know how the curve was?

Everyone here IS smart.
I studied for a few months and this was my first time taking it and I will be happy to even get a 1700+. This makes me feel like such a low achiever, lol.

Anyway, I woke up at 5AM to check and the website said the scores were available but I clicked on it and they weren’t there. -.- Now it’s 9:30AM and I STILL haven’t seen them. I’ve been getting that error message so frequently, I am starting to get really miffed.

Did you read my post on the direct link to SAT scores?

First time taking it is pretty good.

Is this test going to be released?

2340!

CR: 800
M: 760
W: 780

So happy

Congrats to everyone out there for their amazing scores! For those people who didn’t do as well as they hoped, don’t give up! This was my 2nd time taking it. As long as you keep practicing, I’m sure the great scores and good luck will come your way! :D

Guys I have a serious dilemma:

I improved in math in 10 points, which was enough to get my superscore to 2200, but my overall score dropped by 110 points.
I got a 2190 first time, 2080 second.

Is this a serious problem???

I did, yes, but at the time it was STILL giving me an error message. It worked eventually, though. I got a higher score than I predicted – 1850 overall. Thanks!

2nd time taking it and got a 2270

CR 670
M 800
W 800

Woo!! I’m pretty satisfied!!

@RMIBstudent we have the exact same breakdown and I’m in the same predicament… I totally wasn’t expecting an 800 in math and told myself I’d be done if I had over a 2300 and I got a 2330, but Idk why my 760 in CR really bugs me… I didn’t study much this time around so I think I could improve it with studying, but it also will totally depend on the test and curve so I don’t know if it’s worth it, especially since my math probably would go down to 770 or something /: But I’m up 240 points from the first time I took it freshman year, and this was my first time taking it in 2 years (: thrilled!

Wait I guess out CR and Math scores are flipped xD didn’t see that. I got
760 CR
800 M
770 W

@rmib I scored 760 on math also. I was sure I didn’t miss any either (as the harder questions were discussed on here)

2260! First time taking it!

760 CR
760 M
740 W

I got a 1920

620 - CR
580- Math
720- Writing

I’m expected my reading and writing scores but my math score scared me. I thought I would’ve done much better. (Around 680+)
does anyone have any advice for what books to use…? In blue book practice tests I would only get 1-2 wrong per section…I don’t know what happened.

anyone know the curve for reading? like how many you got wrong for your score

@mreg123 how many did you get wrong in CR

800 M
780 W
720 CR

I actually did a lot better than I expected, this is pretty awesome coming from a 160 psat.

I think the curve was really generous especially for writing.

Would anyone want a guide/inspirational story for a 160-196 psat and from there a 1900 average practice SAT -> 2300 actual SAT?

@ivygirl: you got a 2090 freshman year? That’s really cool.

@Jocundity: yeah, I thought I got all the math questions right…from my memory, there aren’t any questions I could have gotten wrong.

Math 740
Critical Reading 720
Writing 670

Composite Score: 2130 (first time taking it)

I might have made some stupid mistakes on the math, and probably didn’t get a 12 on my essay.

@tacobff, do it, those are allways good to hear and learn from
thanks in advance ;)

i think this thread makes some people feel really dumb…i mean these are all great scores, really. idk how competitive your high schools are and all…but at my high school, and pretty much all the other high schools in my area look at a 27 or a 28 on your act as a really good score, and if you get a 31 or a 32 you’re a genius. most people don’t even take the sat where I go, or even know the scoring. i’m just saying this for anyone else who looked at this thread and didn’t feel as great about their score as they initially did. there’s so many people who take the SAT and ACT, and the majority of users on this website are at the top of their class.

just for the heck of it, this was my first SAT and I got

CR:680
M:680
W:690

Total: 2050

and I was ecstatic :D

Yeah it’s very true. I’m almost embarrassed to say I got a 2180 in front of an audience of people who seem to be retaking a 2250+.
