Xiggi–I love debating sports!!! (I often have delightful conversations about your beloved Cowboys!)

Though, if you had put any of those points/topics into your original post, I probably could not have engaged them, as I’m pretty much a neophyte in regards to NCAA basketball. But I imagine other people could have. It sounds like you are far more informed on this than me.

OMG what is wrong with Indiana? Much as I like the 'Cuse I didn’t expect this! Hoosiers seem very uncomfortable with the zone. I wonder if they can adjust? So happy for Marquette!

Yep, that’s what happened to mine! Gonzaga really did me in. I was going Jesuit for many of my picks. So yeah, I was happy that Marquette won! Plus the President there is the previous president at my kids’ university and we liked him a lot. My kids even knew his dog. So JackJack’s (the dog) team won last night!

I also had MSU beating Duke. I feel SO sorry for the IU team- it’s especially hard to lose when it is supposed to be “your year.” Louisville is looking really good.

I am mostly fickle about who I am thrilled to see win. Sometimes it is the coach, sometimes a particular player, sometimes the alma mater of a family member (though that is no guarantee). However, I confess, I am always rooting for Duke.

Wasn’t Pitino the coach for the Kentucky game in that famous regional final in 1992? Of course he is coaching for a different Kentucky school now.

I always am interested in what the pundits have to say, who they predict will win, and then I remind myself that this is mostly about how a bunch of 18-21 year old guys get their act together in front of millions of people. No pressure there. I would hate to have my fate and reputation, as a coach, resting on a group of kids.
