Marist College Early Action 2019

@historylover475 That makes me feel a lot better. Thank you for the info.!

did anyone get any separate letter or anything saying they were accepted into the major they applied for? I applied for the communications major and didn’t see anything about being accepted or denied from that specific major in my letter

Daughter was accepted with the Presidential Scholarship. Very excited! No mention in letter of major or school/program. Congrats to all and here is a story of hope–last year a coworker’s daughter was waitlisted during regular decision. She called and called admissions many, many times to see if she was off the waitlist and accepted. No, she was told. She kept calling. The night of April 30th when she had to put her deposti down SOMEWHERE, her dad was ready to hit ā€œsendā€ at like 10 or 11pm to another school and the phone rang–it was Marist admissions people offering her a spot! She accepted, deposited/enrolled and LOVES it there!! Never give up hope!

Finally received my acceptance letter today!

@AStudent2015ā€Œ Congratulations!!! It really is a great school. Is it your top choice?

Thank you!
It’s definitely near the top. The only thing is finances so it depends on what I get from any of my other schools.

I still haven’t received anything in the mail yet but today I received an email today from Marist about the Diversity Expansion Program and the first line of the email is ā€œCongratulations on your acceptance to Marist!ā€ so is it safe to assume I’ve been accepted?

@luvluvā€Œ I would call the office to make sure, but I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that you were admitted. Congratulations!

Hi I got deferred Early Action this year and I’m wondering if you ended up being admitted Regular Decision

Hi I was deferred this year. Did you end up getting admitted during Regular Decision?

Hi Marist is my top choice and I was deferred this year. Did you end up getting admitted during Regular Decision?

@Bhorgan I did, and I am currently a freshman at Marist now! I would recommend getting additional letters of recommendation from teachers, employers, etc. as well as staying in touch with admissions. I wrote to admissions last year telling them why I wanted to go to the school, and got a recommendation from a teacher. Keep them updated and show you’re interested and you have a good shot! Do you know why you were deferred?

No I’m not sure why I was deferred. I was pretty confident that I had a good chance of getting in. I’ve already emailed admissions and told them why I want to go there so badly and I’m also going to send them a letter in the new year with my grades and any new accomplishments or extra curriculars. I will definitely get another letter of recommendation, thank you for that idea!! I did a Marist college chance me post could you possibly check that out for me? Thank you so much!!
