<p>I could be wrong, but I think any private college – including Clark – will cost around the same as BU. That’s been my experience so far. If you go private expect to shell out $45-$55K per year in total.</p>

<p>It’s not going to lead to more than 100K+ worth of opprotunities because of the name. No way. </p>
<p>My sister graduated from UMASS Amherst and landed a full merit scholarship at a top graduate school in her field. I know that’s not unusal in some fields, but most of her grad school peers were paying somewhere between half and full price. A friend of hers who did his undergrad at UMASS Amherst in one of the sciences is now a full professor at a very good university. UMASS Amherst can take a student anywhere they want to go if the student puts in the work. </p>
<p>If your son’s interest does turn to pharmacy in his first year, he may want to consider a transfer to Northeastern University, which is in Boston. They have a six year pharmacy program. My son will be attending NU* in the fall (not for that program) and from what we heard at the information session, it’s a very popular and competitive program. </p>
<p>*He got a NMF scholarship that covers tuition, otherwise he’d be attending our state flagship or, most likely, UMASS Amherst, which also offered him a nice scholarship.</p>
