I’m in UVA’s BA/MT program, which is top 10 in most fields. As undergrads we’re required to maintain a 2.7 GPA… Not kidding… Now we do have some post-grad MT’s, and they come from places like Cornell, UVA, etc. But I’m sure the admissions committee cares more about your love of teaching than your GPA. In addition, for GRE’s, we’re required to get a 1000… Yes… ! Such low standards. Again, I’m sure that for post-grad admission you might want to aim a bit higher. However, I remember hunting around PGMT programs and they all had similar stats (Vanderbilt has a great PGMT program and their average admitted GRE was maybe 1100).
