Ohio State doesn’t admit by major, so should be an easier admit than Purdue CS. He can study CS outside of the Engineering College with the BS or BA in CIS see Majors | Computer Science and Engineering and at the bottom of that page under alternate majors there is a link to the Data Analytics major too.
