I suggest the University of Maryland, College Park, whose Applied Math and Mechanical Engineering are well-regarded, as a match/likely.

I don’t think so. I don’t know how they weight their GPAs, but I would thing that for engineering at least the OP’s GPA would be low.

I agree. UMD looks at distribution of grades and considers GPA heavily. Also engineering is a limited enrollment program there. OOS for UMD can be unpredictable, so it’s more of a “who knows, but give it a good try” . Definitely apply EA by Nov .1 if considering UMD, as the LEP programs fill up.
