I might consider Clarkson and RIT for in-state, they’re tech schools but they’re more in the likely range than match, where you figure RPI would be. Syracuse may also be another match to consider. You have a lot of good suggestions for reaches, it would just depend on what part of the country you want to focus, Purdue/UM/UIUC in midwest, Cornell/CMU/Tufts etc. for northeast, UCs/Mudd/Stanford in the west coast.
If your HS has Naviance find out how previous students did at the schools being mentioned, your GC could know as well.
