You’re not disagreeing with me. I didn’t say that makes are getting in with lower credentials. I said that we just don’t know. My point was that acceptance rate between males and females doesn’t tell the whole story.

The national proportion of female vs male college students is 57:43. At Tulane, it is 62:38. They have a problem. The article I linked from the Tulane Hullabaloo says they have a problem. Common sense tells us they have a problem. It would be naive to think that males are not a priority for admissions at Tulane. The law of supply and demand tells us that well qualified male students are in high demand at Tulane.
