I placed schools in buckets primarily by looking at their overall admission rates, and then made guesses of what your son’s chances would be in thinking about their test ranges, percentage of students who submitted tests, how your son’s GPA likely compared, strength of ECs, etc. College Navigator is a tool by the federal government that includes a wealth of information that you may find useful.
