<p>Placement is based on your exam score. We usually recommend students take the test, especially if you need calc for your major/career plan. There are a number of ways to get through the Calc I-II sequence here; your math assessment score, for example, might place you into Calc A (part of the three-semester Calc A-B-C sequence); maybe you’re not a strong calc student and could use the class that goes slightly slower. Or maybe you say no, I can do it, I just had a bad morning the day of the AP test, and you can use your AP score to override your assessment score. There are a lot of variables that really pertain to your specific situation. Doesn’t hurt to take the exam, though.</p>
