was it a =b for teh 3x+7 one or somethign like that?

wait, so it was abs(a-x-5)<5??? which was choice b I think?

also, for the pie chart one in the fill ins, could x=50?

and that circle one with the 3 angles or something, 36?

Summary so far-feel free to add
Weird function, f(a)<3 = 0<a<7
f(ab)=f(a)+f(b) = 12
Math and Science Students = 90
Tanks A and B = 160
Two Triangles area ratio of 3/4 = 40/3 (there’s some controversy about this though)
Upside down parabola = A (-3 only)
Ice cream and soda = 3.50
Circle, Tangent line, radius of 4 = 4 radical 3
Least prime divisor = 5
Volume of rectangular prism = 144

I left around 4 or so Math problems blank. And got wrong maybe one or two.

I’m hoping for at least a 600. Mid to high 6s would be ideal!

(I believe I nailed 9/10 of the Open End questions. Which is one point higher than my eight average. Haha.)

Well not a step function in the real sense of the term. I just don’t know what to call it

Looked like this: (without those a’s)
aaaa ------
___/

For what value is f(x+1) > f(x)

Anyone?

xatua, this guys is telling me 40/3 is wrong, though :/

I don’t think I had that. Experimental?

I remember gridding 40/3, but I don’t remember the problem or whether I was confident.

144 for the volume of the rectangle xatuuatx.

EDIT
new fish, I got 40/3 i’m almost positive its right.
Lockn, which one was the number line one?

I thought so. I did so bad on the first one.

i was sure too dagol and i got 144 as well

40/3 I got that too

Yea I gridded in 40/3 and was pretty confident about it. It had like two triangles and said the area of ABC to whatever the other one was = 3/4

Distance from B to line l was like 10, find the distance from that corresponding point on that similar triangle to l.

i got 5/12 for one of them…

whew, so i got one mc and one fill-in wrong. :(

what is the usual math curve for 800 or 790?

i got 800 last time and i think it’ll go down. T__T

I recall getting 5/12 but I dont remember what it was for.

so did…does anyone know what question that was and if it is right?

Area of a triangle, why would that have to do with the square?
It’s just base times height.
No exponents there.

For the 5/12 one I put .833 is that okay? I didn’t want to erase and have the machine read it wrong

Compared answers which I recorded with a calculator with a friend. 99% sure I got them all right.

It was 40/3, the pie chart x had to be in between 40 and 50 EXCLUSIVE (so 40 and 50 don’t work)

The question about citrus production from 1997 to 1998 was terible though, because I could see how someone could estimate it to be 15%

yea, i dont see what question mark is talking about at all, though i cant say im the sharpest tool in the shed either

i don’t remember getting 5/12 i dont think, uh oh :/

citrus was 10% correct?

Don’t worry about it. Just superscore it. :)

Oh was 40/3 the one where they gave you the ratio of the areas? I thought that might be wrong because you ratios of areas are squared? Not sure, tried to solve it the other way and got a number that didn’t make sense.
