Math for March SAT 2009

yeah, i guess it was 4 sqrt 3. was that answer choice D?

what do you think the curve is going to look like for these deductions:
-4
-5
-6
-7

on the math

The first math section was ridiculously easy! The other two, not so much.

sorry to break it to you, dude, but if you left 4-5 PER SECTION that’s not a good sign. the math section has the most unforgiving curve. if you get even one wrong out of all the sections you’re doomed for a 780

what will my math score be if i get one grid in and 1 mc wrong for this march SAT?

hkb3 - expect about 700~760

HKB3, I would say probably a 750. or higher idk

Was the f(ab) = f(a) + f(b) problem 24??

dreamsofivy - yes

does anyone remember what the LETTER answer was to the a-x-5>5 question? i cant remember what i put other than the letter B, then changed it to letter C.

I could probably ace the math section if I had 5-10 more minutes for every math section haha

anyone think -1 could be an 800 based on this test? (the concensus is that it was tricky…)

any possibility at all??? ever happened before? lmao.

didn’t think i missed any at first, but apparently based on this forum, the question with the x, 2p, and 3P or something, i remember plugging in 60 and it worked perfectly. But i think i did it out of 360 degrees instead of 100 percent. gahh, lol.

It has happened before, but it’s rare.

It’s really hard to guess what the curve will be this time. Some think the math was ridiculously easy, others think it was really hard. However, the main consensus does seem to be that a few of the problems were very tricky. So I think there’s reason to hope for a nice curve.

which one was the experimental because i had the blue test book, was it writing?

For the Pie chart one is it alright that I put x= 41.5 because the question never stated that it had to be an integer. This would make each y= 19.5, and satisfy the equation 2p<x<3p

Am i right?

Math killed me. I’ll be so sad if I didn’t get 600+ on math…means I’ll have to work harder if I want my honors program qualifications if I decide to go to Longwood.

To d12345, I do not remember the specifics of the question, but if they didn’t ask for an integer then your answer does fall in the 41<x<49 interval, so I would say you’re right.

Nice… I made a lot of stupid mistakes about 5 wrong and 3 omitted… is that around a 670 or lower?

I would say that would be 660-690 area, depending upon the curve. Did you expect that score or is it lower/higher than expected?

Lower i usually get anywhere from 700-740… I misread a lot of questions which cost me a lot of points
