Math Placement Exam

I don’t think it’s a high difficulty level, but people sometimes do poorly because they’ve spent the last year and a half doing calculus. A quick review of the topics included like log and ln rules , trig identities, factoring and expanding polynomials, simplifying expressions and fractions, absolute value, equation of a line forms, etc.is very worthwhile. There are a couple practice tests out there if you do a Web search for tamu mpe test including one from i think usc but it’s actually an a&m test. For engineers the mpe has to be done by may 20 it says and 14 days between tries so do the math on that one. I’m thinking it’s 22/33 to get into math 151. Good luck.
