it’s brazil and carribean

ok good. yea i figured because of something i had just recently read, and all the slave revolts that were in the carribean. thanks!

oh well. 3 wrong and 3 omit. Thats an 83.

the woman vp one…was it geraldine something?

Can anyone tell me where the creek/cherokee indian question was on the test…

from what ive heard, yes, she was definitley the first from either republican/democrat party…although i have read online that there was another women in the lat 1800s from a lesser known party, so i don’t know if that applies.

The creek/cherokee one was Southeastern woodlands, since the cherokees were from Georgia. And the Woman VP was geraldine ferraro, definitely.

wow i def. got the creek one wrong. was the political cartoon one w/ carpetbaggers?

i got the same thing… the number of single women did substanially decrease between the 1920-1930 it was really the only one that made any bit of sense…

yes carpetbaggers

Is anybody absolutely sure of the political patronage one? I looked it up on wikipedia or something and it said govt handouts but other ppl have said spoils system (that’s what I put), or are they the same thing??

what was the answer to the anti slavery associaton question

For the political patronage one, I actually said Taylorism…
I just looked it up:

Taylorism:
Carefully select workers with the right abilities for the job.
Carefully train these workers to do the job, and give them proper incentives to cooperate with the job.

Could that be it? What do you guys think?

But Taylorism is regarding industry and business, whereas political patronage is, well, politics. The other answer was better, I think.

political patronage (according to pageant) is pretty much synonymous with the spoils system.

For the creek/cherokee question… can someone rewrite the question with answers (and its location on the test if possible)… i don’ t have any recilection of seeing that question

anyone have an idea what is the answer to the question that asked which factors did NOT contribute to the expansion of slavery in the south?

i put British Slave Trade because i think i remember reading somewhere about the British banning the importation of slaves in the early 1800s and the ban on slavery in the 1830s or something. can someone confirm this?

Yes I put that as well but I did out of a process of elimination. I have never read anything about the British Slave Trade in AMSCO or Pagent (I’m in APUSH)

@ iX3demosthenes: That’s what I put. My logic was the British never really traded slaves.

what was the one with tammany? the choices were like spoils system, merit system

and for the one with the whistle and the workers i think i said labor unions, yea that’s prob wrong
