May 2010 - U.S. History

I agree with Jefferson being agricultural advocate.
Hoping for 800!!! I got like 8~11 wrong… But didn’t skip any. That’s like exactly the gap between 790 and 800 range.

OH. I was so lucky to get Carla Barton right. I narrowed her down to education reformer and American Red Cross founder. I was like hmmmm… Red Cross. I’ll go with that… haha.

Can Someone describe the “Second evangelical effect all except” question (42 on the list). I don’t remember that one at all. Also, what were some of the choices to the Lewis and Clark one? I’m not sure if I put the one that is on the list. And we don’t HAVE to get the same extremely harsh curve as the October 2008 test right?

if it’s the same test, it’s the same curve. It’s predetermined even before the test is administered.

Oh that’s not good. I thought they based it on how everyone did this time around. Well, I already have 7 that are definitely wrong and two more that are 50-50, let’s just hope that the people who complained about the terrible curve all got 10 more wrong than they thought.

Anyone here take the Sunday test?

yeah i did

No, that’s not me.

What did you think about it Oven? I hated the Indian questions.

thrill3rnit3: How do you know?

Yeah, there were 4 or 5 from the 1500s -1700s with indians. they were very random questions

I still think that “local governments” and “British abolitionists” are not the right answers. I’ve also come to to accept the Shays answer but the fact is th all the answers in that question were true and it should not have been on the test as it was.

@xckyle93: The curve/scale is predetermined even before the test is administered, regardless of student performance (which clearly can not be determined AFTER the tests have been scored). So it would be logical to think that the same exact tests should have the same curves.

what do you guys think
0 omited
-10 would be?

-10 would probably be 750-780 depending on curve.

but if people did better or worse than those that took it in oct 2008 shudnt the curve be different? i thought curves were based on how everyone that took the test did that month

I think that you’re wrong. In fact, I know that you’re wrong. SAT is supposed to be a competitive test; therefore, your score is based on your competition’s score. I agree that this US History test was easy, so the curve may be a bit harsh, but I don’t think that it will be as harsh as the one in October 2008. For one, we don’t even know if it’s the same test.

lets pray for a lenient curve

xckyle93: wow that’s a pretty bold statement right there

thrill3rnit3: And yours wasn’t?

Wait, I just read what I wrote lol. Sorry man, just stressing about these SATs a little bit :/. Didn’t mean to come off as an *******. But I still stand by what I said :D.

i hope the curve is favorable…

i got less than 5 or 6 wrong and i omitted one question.
i am praying for 800
