Seattleites aren’t normally as aggressive as these protesters. We are usually more passive-aggressive.
We also don’t intervene when we see someone destroying property. If someone is beng assaulted, then we step in, but we aren’t fighters.
Although more of us are armed than ever before.

I stand corrected. The members of N30 black bloc are apparently from all over. some from Eugene, but also Seattle ( & Moclips, for all I know).

U of O protesters whom graduated with liberal arts degrees or wildlife sciences and forestry training head to a hip and pricey pub for a micro-brew after a hard day’s battling cops. Liberal arts Rioters from U of Washington, Western Washington University or Evergreen State College continually check their watches during their march, thank the police for their courtesy and then head to Starbucks, no worse for the wear. Rioters whom are STEM graduates from the Washington colleges head to the nearest and cheapest dive for a Rainier Beer, Hamms Light Beer (gag me!!!) before they tucker out.

Do they still make Oly?

Wildlife sciences and forestry? That would be Oregon State (aka Oregon Straight), not Univ. of Oregon.

All the “young people” I see drinking beer still drink PBRs

Even when I drank beer, it was never out of a can.
But I guess if they drank it out of a glass, no one would know how cool they were.

I don’t think they make Olympia beer anymore- lots of micro breweries though.

PBR out of a can is a Portland thing. I think the Eugene rioters would smell like patchouli oil - that’s how I would differentiate at close quarters. ;)
