Maybe choosing not to apply for financial aid?

Typically a need aware school, like Tufts, will not allow you to file in the future because they are accepting you, in part, based on finances.

If this is a concern (future years), apply and remove the risk.

Applying for aid has zero impact on your acceptance chance if you won’t qualify for need aid.

And many schools don’t stack so if you’re already getting merit, then the odds of need based are even less.

But filling out fafsa and css take minimal effort (but do have expense) and this way you’re covered if you need to apply for aid in the future.
