<p>It is apparently not very common for Steinhardt students to double major with one major in IR. Mostly, it is CAS and Stern students, according to NYU’s Dept. of Politics. </p>

<p>However, the departmental advisor did not say it is not out of the question, but requires careful planning of your schedule with your advisor from the get go. Getting in only requires one Economics class and one International Politics class, along with a 3.65 GPA.</p>

<p>However, you have other requirements (14 courses) once you are in the program. That is a large number, if you think of each semester as having an average of 4 courses (16 credits). It would require 3 1/2 semesters to fulfill the requirements for just this one major. Here is the link: </p>
