My son has a RoadID and likes it because he doesn’t have to remember it, since it’s attached to his shoe. He also has a chain necklace one that he wears under his shirt when he travels, and another ID taken off the chain, in his wallet.
I’m thinking of something for myself, not an athlete. I did get a bracelet engraved years ago. Bought it and had it engraved for under $10 on clearance at WalMart. I never wear it but as list of allergies grows, am seriously thinking of getting a new one that I will wear.
I can see the pros and cons of the various styles. The only things I wear all the time are my wedding and engagement rings and a watch. It will take getting used to wearing anything else. Maybe I’ll get something that has an analog watch + medical id.
I suspect the Infectious Disease docs may have suggestions and hopefully help sort out what my allergies to ABX and other Rx are, so I will know and can update my medical records accordingly, as well as my medical ID.
Check out LaurensHope.com Lots of nice medicalID bracelets in a variety of styles.
I guess I still need to have the docs help me determine what I’m allergic to and the preferred course of treatment. Better not to move forward before getting all of that clarified.
