A medical examiner is a medical doctor trained in forensic pathology. You would have to complete four years of undergraduate studies, then four years of medical school, then about 4-5 years of an Anatomical/Clinical pathology residency, and finally, 1-2 years doing a forensic pathology fellowship.

It doesn’t matter what your undergraduate degree is in, as long as you can obtain a high GPA and complete the pre-med requirements for med school.
