@intparent - I told my parents about that, but they’d really like me to stay with my grandparents. Hopefully, I’ll be able to convince them that dorm life isn’t as out-of-control as it seems to them.
Are you female? Maybe a women’s college would make them happier? Your college list doesn’t seem very realistic in light of this requirement from them.
USC is a high reach and Newhouse at Syracuse is probably out of reach. The acceptance rate is below 10%. Average GPA at Newhouse is a 3.9.
@intparent - Thank you for your advice! This is off-topic, but do you know any good liberal arts colleges in the SoCal area? One of the biggest reasons why my parents want me to study in California is because my grandparents live there. My mom would like me to stay with them, because that’s “safer” than dorming.
